Judson Howie LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey C. Marchuk and McLean Ayearst have joined the firm as associate lawyers.
Jeffrey C. Marchuk joins the firm as a lawyer after working with us as a student since the summer of 2022. He brings significant experience in criminal defence, family law, and civil litigation. Jeffrey graduated from Carleton University in 2019 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in law and legal studies. He received his Juris Doctor (JD) from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in May 2023. Jeffrey is from Rainy River and is committed to providing legal services to the community and surrounding area.
McLean Ayearst comes to our firm from a career focused on safeguarding the rights of vulnerable persons. He brings experience in legal clinic settings, through articling with Legal Aid Ontario in the family, criminal, and refugee offices and working as a legal advisor for vulnerable persons in Egypt and Thailand. Prior to joining our firm, McLean worked in human rights with the United Nations in Geneva, Sudan, and Lebanon. McLean obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) and Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from McGill University in 2016. He also holds a specialized honours degree in international development studies from York University. McLean was called to the bar in 2018.
