Judson Howie LLP is pleased to announce that Katelynn Rookes has joined the firm to complete her law school integrated practice placement.

Katelynn Rookes (she/her) is a third-year law student at Lakehead University’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. Katelynn joins our office with significant legal knowledge from her previous work.
Before returning to university, she worked in the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee. After earning a social work degree, Katelynn supported individuals through the court process at the John Howard Society, the Elizabeth Fry Society, and the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre.
Katelynn spent her second year of law school assisting clients with criminal matters at Lakehead University Community Legal Services. Just before arriving in Fort Frances, Katelynn worked at the Law Commission of Ontario where she contributed to law and policy research to improve access to protection for victims of family violence.
Outside of academic pursuits, Katelynn is a proud aunt and enjoys knitting, baking, and camping.
